Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026.
The short version
- IRONOS is a training app. It is not medical advice, and it doesn't replace your doctor, a coach, a physiotherapist or a dietitian.
- Endurance training carries real risks. You decide whether, when and how hard to train. Stop and get help if you notice warning signs (section 5).
- Answer the health screening honestly, and keep your details up to date.
- The AI coach can be wrong. It can only suggest changes to your plan, and you decide whether to accept them.
- IRONOS is free. If we ever charge, we'll tell you first, and you won't pay unless you choose to.
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply. Nothing in these terms takes them away.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the sole trader who runs IRONOS, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia ("IRONOS", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the IRONOS apps for iPhone and Android, the IRONOS web app and our website (together, "IRONOS").
By creating an account or using IRONOS you agree to:
- these terms
- our Privacy Policy
- the training waiver and health screening you complete in the app.
If you don't agree, please don't use IRONOS.
2. What IRONOS does
IRONOS gives you:
- A training plan for triathlon and other endurance events, built by a rules engine from what you tell us. If your race is a long way off, the plan starts with an easy Foundation block. It then moves through base, build, peak and taper phases towards your race distance.
- Detailed workouts. Each session tells you what to do, how it should feel and what to focus on.
- A daily check-in and readiness score. The score uses your check-in and, if you connect them, sleep, heart rate variability and resting heart rate. It can make today's training easier, shorter or a rest day. You're always told why. It never increases your training.
- Safety rules. Certain symptoms you report pause your plan and point you to a doctor. Injuries reduce load and point you to a physio. Some topics are always referred to support services.
- An AI coach chat. It explains your plan and can suggest changes. A suggestion only takes effect if our rules engine accepts it and you confirm it.
- Daily fuel guidance, general fuelling advice and a race-day plan.
- Progress and streaks: fitness, fatigue, form, how much of your plan you've completed, and your training streak.
- Friends: add friends, see each other's streaks and weekly progress, and, if you choose, share your workouts and give kudos.
- Run recording with your phone's GPS.
- Health data connections: Apple Health (iPhone) and Health Connect (Android), plus manual workout logging.
- Invites and "Share my week".
We may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what IRONOS does for you, we'll tell you in advance (section 15).
3. Who can use IRONOS
- You must be 18 or older.
- IRONOS is designed for people in Australia.
- One account per person, and only for your own training. Don't use IRONOS to plan training for someone else, including clients, children or teammates.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. Tell us straight away at rudrakshswebsite@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Important health information
IRONOS is a training tool, not medical advice. It gives general training, recovery and fuelling information based on what you tell it. It does not:
- diagnose, treat, monitor or manage any illness, injury or medical condition
- replace advice from your doctor, a sports physician, physiotherapist, accredited exercise physiologist, Accredited Practising Dietitian or qualified coach
- monitor you in real time, or contact emergency services for you.
The readiness score, training zones, load figures and fuel numbers are training estimates, not medical measurements. Data from watches, phones and GPS can be wrong.
IRONOS's safety checks look for particular check-in answers and particular words in chat messages. They can miss things. Don't rely on IRONOS to notice that something is wrong. If you feel unwell, stop and get help, whatever the app says.
You decide whether, when and how hard to train. If you have chest pain, faint, feel unusually breathless, or your heart races or beats irregularly, stop and see a doctor.
In an emergency, call 000.
If you're going through a hard time and need someone to talk to, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
IRONOS is intended as consumer fitness and wellness software, not a medical device.
5. Health screening and your responsibilities
5.1 Health screening
Before IRONOS builds your plan, you must complete our health screening honestly.
- If any of your answers suggest a higher risk, IRONOS won't build a plan until you confirm a doctor has assessed you and cleared you for endurance training.
- Tell us (by updating your answers in the app) if your health changes, for example a new diagnosis, pregnancy, new medication, surgery, or a heart, lung or metabolic condition.
- We rely on your answers. We can't check them.
- Passing the screening is not medical clearance. If you're unsure, see your GP before you start. This matters most if you're over 45, you haven't exercised regularly in the past 12 months, or you have a medical condition or take medication.
5.2 Stop training and get medical help if you have:
- chest pain, pressure or tightness
- fainting, or nearly fainting
- unusual shortness of breath, or breathlessness at rest
- a racing, pounding or irregular heartbeat
- severe or worsening pain
- coughing up blood
- sudden numbness or weakness, or confusion (for example after a fall or crash)
- signs of heat stroke, such as confusion, stopping sweating or collapse
- signs of significant illness, such as a fever.
Don't wait for the app to tell you. If any of these happen during training, stop straight away. Call 000 in an emergency. If you report any of them in IRONOS, your plan is paused until you confirm a doctor has cleared you.
5.3 Train sensibly
You are responsible for how you train. In particular:
- Listen to your body. Pain is a signal. If pain lasts more than a few days, is sharp, or changes how you move, see a physiotherapist or doctor.
- Swim safely. Never swim alone in open water. Swim at patrolled locations or with a support kayak or buddy, and check conditions first.
- Ride safely. Obey the road rules, wear an approved helmet (it's the law in Australia), use lights, and don't use your phone while riding.
- Run safely. Watch for traffic and keep your attention on your surroundings, not your phone, including when you're recording a run.
- Respect heat and hydration. Australian conditions can be extreme. Drink to thirst. Don't force large amounts of fluid: drinking too much can be dangerous (hyponatraemia).
- Check every food and product against your allergies and intolerances. IRONOS uses the allergies you tell us about, but you must read labels.
- Follow the rules of the events you enter. Check official event websites for dates, cut-offs and requirements.
5.4 Risks of endurance training
Training for and racing triathlon and other endurance events carries real risks, including:
- overuse and acute injuries
- illness, heat illness and dehydration
- drowning
- crashes and collisions with vehicles or other people
- cardiac events, which can happen even to people with no known heart condition
- and, rarely, death.
IRONOS's rules (caps on how quickly load rises, compulsory rest days, safety pauses) are designed to be conservative, but they can't remove these risks. You choose whether, when and how hard to train.
6. The AI coach
- The AI coach uses AI models provided by third parties: currently UltimateAI, with Cloudflare Workers AI as a backup. If neither is available, the coach answers from IRONOS's built-in rules. AI replies are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- The coach can't change your plan by itself. It can propose a change. Our rules engine checks the proposal against our safety and load limits, and it only takes effect if you confirm it.
- Don't use the coach for medical, mental-health, medication or diet-therapy advice. Some topics are deliberately handed to support services instead.
- Daily limit. There's a daily message limit per person and an overall daily limit across IRONOS. AI replies may be unavailable when a limit is reached or the AI service is down. Everything else in IRONOS keeps working.
- Don't try to make the coach produce harmful content, get around its safety rules, or extract its instructions. Our AI providers' usage policies also apply to what you send.
- Using the coach is optional. It sends information to our AI provider outside Australia (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Fuelling and race information
- Daily fuel and fuelling. Daily fuel numbers (energy, protein and carbohydrate estimates), meal ideas and hydration guidance are general sports-nutrition information for healthy adults. They're not individual dietetic advice. IRONOS never sets calorie or weight-loss targets.
- See your GP or an Accredited Practising Dietitian if you have a medical condition, a food allergy or a history of disordered eating, or if you're pregnant.
- Races. We may list races for convenience, for example Australian triathlon events. Dates, courses and rules change, so always check the official event website.
- Trade marks. IRONMAN® and IRONMAN 70.3® are trade marks of their owner. Challenge Family event names belong to their owners. IRONOS is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
8. Health data and GPS
- Optional. Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect, and letting the app use your location to record runs, are optional. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
- Accuracy. Data from watches, rings, straps and phones, including GPS distance and pace, can be wrong or missing. IRONOS uses whatever data it receives, so check anything that looks odd.
- Other providers' terms. Apple's and Google's terms apply to their services.
9. Friends and sharing
- Friends are optional. Only add people you're happy to share your training with.
- Friends see your display name, streak, race goal and weekly progress. If you turn on Share my activity with friends, they also see your recent workouts. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what they see.
- If someone signs up through your invite link, they send you a friend request. Nothing is shared until you accept it.
- You can turn off activity sharing, remove a friend or block someone at any time.
- Be respectful. Don't use friends, kudos or invites to harass, spam or impersonate anyone.
10. Price
IRONOS is free. All features are free, including the AI coach chat (with a daily message limit). We don't take payments.
If we introduce paid plans:
- We'll update these terms and our Privacy Policy before any paid plan starts.
- Before you subscribe, we'll show you the price in Australian dollars (including GST if applicable), what you get, how often you'll be charged, how renewal works and how to cancel.
- You won't be charged unless you actively choose a paid plan. Free accounts won't be switched to paid automatically.
- Free trials. If a trial turns into a paid subscription, we'll remind you before the first charge. You can cancel before then and pay nothing.
- Cancelling. You'll be able to cancel at least as easily as you signed up.
- App store purchases. Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store are also covered by Google's or Apple's terms, including their refund processes.
- Refunds and remedies are available where the Australian Consumer Law requires them (section 16).
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- give false health screening answers, or use IRONOS for anyone other than yourself
- share your account, or use someone else's
- try to get around the safety rules, chat limits or security, or try to get into systems or data you're not allowed to access
- copy, scrape, resell or commercially exploit IRONOS plans, content or AI responses, or use automated tools to access IRONOS
- reverse-engineer IRONOS, except where the law allows it
- use IRONOS to break the law, to harass anyone, or to send harmful, unlawful or infringing material
- pretend to be IRONOS or to be connected with us.
12. Your content and data
- You own the information you put into IRONOS, such as check-ins, notes, workouts and chat messages.
- You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, process and use it only to run IRONOS for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. The licence ends when your data is deleted.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
13. Our intellectual property
- IRONOS, including its software, rules engine, design, text and branding, belongs to us or our licensors.
- Your licence. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use IRONOS for your own training.
- Sharing. You may share your own plan or weekly summary with friends.
14. Suspension and termination
- Leaving. You can stop using IRONOS and delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete account). See how to delete your account.
- Suspension. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, misuse the AI coach or friend features, put others at risk, or if the law requires it. Unless it's urgent (for example fraud or a security attack), we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
- Shutting down. If we close IRONOS or the free tier, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice where we reasonably can, and you'll be able to export your data.
- What survives. Sections 12, 13 and 16 to 18, and anything else that by its nature should continue, will still apply after your account ends.
15. Changes to these terms
- Significant changes. We may update these terms, for example to describe new features or paid plans, or to reflect changes in the law. For a significant change, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and ask you to accept it.
- If you don't accept. You can stop using IRONOS and delete your account.
- Small fixes. Typos and contact details just update the date.
16. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies:
- any right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law that can't lawfully be excluded or limited
- any guarantee, warranty or condition that such a law implies or imposes.
If any part of these terms appears to do so, it doesn't apply to that extent.
17. Liability
Subject always to section 16:
- Information, not a guarantee. IRONOS provides general training information. We use due care and skill, but we don't promise any particular result, such as finishing a race, a time or a personal best.
- Your choices. We're not responsible for loss or harm to the extent it's caused by false or incomplete health screening answers, ignoring a safety message or warning sign, training beyond the plan's limits, inaccurate data from devices or third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control.
- Indirect loss. We're not liable for loss of profits, loss of opportunity or other indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of IRONOS, except where the law doesn't allow this to be excluded.
- Your conduct. If you contributed to a loss, for example by not following section 5, our liability is reduced to reflect that.
18. Disputes and governing law
- Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email rudrakshswebsite@gmail.com. We'll try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
- Outside help. You can also contact Consumer Affairs Victoria, or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth courts sitting there. This doesn't take away any right you have under consumer law to bring a claim where you live.
19. Emails from us
- Service emails. We send sign-in links, security alerts and important notices about IRONOS. These are part of the service.
- Product emails. News and tips are sent only if you opt in, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
20. General
- If part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
- Not enforcing a term right away doesn't mean we've given up the right to enforce it.
- Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to whoever takes over IRONOS, and we'll tell you if that happens. Your rights won't be reduced as a result.
- The whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the in-app training waiver and the health screening make up the whole agreement between you and us about IRONOS.
